We offer an initial visit to a holding in order to identify the main environmental features and will advise on how best to protect and maintain those features, making them work for the overall business.
We are able to call upon our numerous specialist contacts as and when necessary which may often be the case, for example, when assessing a site for the presence of a protected species in relation to a planning application.
Nitrate Vulnerable Zones
We have completed annual records and risk mapping for a number of our clients who fall within the NVZ regulatory areas. Many of these clients have received Environment Agency inspection visits which have been satisfactory and have therefore avoided costly penalties. We have also advised on the wider regulatory matters with respect to land available for spreading, slurry storage capacities, possible planning requirements and landlord and tenant matters.
Jo has dealt with our Single Payment Claims, Agri-Environment Schemes and lease agreements for a number of years. She has been able to guide us the maze of DEFRA/RPA/NE red tape without any fuss. She has managed to complete a Farm Environment Plan and get us into a Higher Level Stewardship Scheme against all the odds and successfully sorted out our complicated Single Farm Payment at around a third of the cost we were previously charged by a local auctioneer.
