It is becoming more and more apparent that, in today’s political climate, farmers and landowners need to be aware of not only the productive capabilities of their land but also it’s environmental and wildlife value.
Williams Round keeps well advised and informed with respect to new and upcoming changes in government policy regarding rural land management which will affect each and every farmer going about his daily business. We offer an initial visit to a holding in order to identify the main environmental features. Following this, we can advise on how best to protect and maintain those features, making them work for the overall business rather than hindering it.We are able to call upon our numerous specialist contacts as and when necessary which may often be the case, for example, when assessing a site for the presence of a protected species in relation to a planning application.

We have completed annual records and risk mapping for a number of our clients who fall within the NVZ regulatory areas. Many of these clients have received Environment Agency Inspection visits which have been satisfactory and have therefore avoided costly penalties. We have also advised on the wider regulatory matters with respect to land available for spreading, slurry storage capacities, possible planning requirements and landlord and tenant matters.
Having been with us now since 2006, Jo has played a key roll in the management and maintenance of our historic park and wider landscape. Her natural ease, charm and positive approach, together with her obvious efficiency make for a delightful working companion. Her advice and support have been of enormously helpful.
